Love in the time of Corona

Love in the time of Corona

What a time to be alive!

For the first time in a while I am thrilled to be single. This is awesome for me, my written banter is way better than my in person banter and Tinder is offering an absolute bounty of new opportunities. Everyone is bored, everyone is lonely and it seems like everyone is on Tinder.

I don’t have to go on stressful dates, there is no shaving of legs, fretting over outfits, wondering where you should go on dates, no drinking too much (actually there is lots of that, but no making a fool of yourself as a result), no worrying about creeps, and above all else there is no kissing…kissing is banned in the times of Corona! Dating in the times of Corona is just basically safe, fun and awesome.

We are also now in a time of love thy neighbour. Over the fence conversations are now relished and appreciated on a new level. I have never really had neighbours so I have always tended to get a bit over excited when I see people who potentially live in my neighbourhood.  Last week we came across two new gentlemen neighbours loading an adorable golden retriever into a truck. In my usual overexcited way I said a friendly hello. The response? ‘Oh my gosh you’re girls, I haven’t seen a girl in days’.

So I guess maybe I am enjoying dating at the moment so much more than the average bear.

xoxo Laura
